'enlightened'

Found these lovely old shades at 'Trash on Bay', in Port Melbourne, & gave them new life with these gorgeous polka dot fabrics and an irresistible hot pink trim.

Now to decide whether they go on my crystal chandelier or hang together as a cluster over my counter on different length cords... mmm the quandary? And 'yes' they are resting upside down, so as not to squash the delicious trim...

Loved the result, can't stop sneaking peeks at them...

rabbit season... duck season.... rabbit season... nah...

Always worth a visit to mum's, there's inevitably a lesson to be learnt.
Whether it be a correction in my grammar pronunciation, a phenomenal gardening tip,
an exceptional rich recipe or a wise crafty tit bit, one never regrets the process of the journey.
The number of limbs I've sewn that need turning inside out, Mum's just taught me the niftiest timesaver... love you Mum...
Have lots of lovely little denim & cotton rabbits becoming available on my website for sale soon, stay tuned...

Penny for your thoughts!

I had a lot of fun putting these cutesy little coin purses together. Started this project before Jemima, our 3rd child arrived, finally re-acquainting myself.
Finicky little pattern, once you involve denim, but the bright colours of the other fabrics feed off it so well, it's worth the end result...

'macaroons' flavour of the month

OMG... how inspiring are these colours? My gorgeous girlfriend Helen invited me along to a high tea the other day, just the escape for a mother of four. A nice intimate party of five for company, meant everyone got a word in and had a great giggle & catch up. To my delight I was to sample 'macaroons' amongst some exquisite tea cakes & chocolates, accompanied by a generous variety of teas (from the glorious range by Lisa at 'Tea Tonic'). Would definitely recommend 'Nest' in Albert Park for a girls afternoon out...

A stitch in time...

Completed my fabric mural for the lounge room, now I have to work on framing the piece.
Hope it adds the punch I'm after in the living area...?
Had alot of fun with the colours and took me an eternity to work out what to mount the fabric on without loosing the materials fluidness, shall post the end result when mounted on the wall.

'birdie num num'

Have been obsessed with creating my lovely little 'birdie num num' mobiles. Found some lovely fabrics to mix and match. They add such a lovely touch to any room in the house, but especially a babies nook.

Latest achievements!

Re-covered this lovely sentimental piece my aunt gave me. Old blouse bureau received a fresh lick of white paint,a crisp fabric and four gorgeous glass handles. Added a beautiful new look to our whole bedroom.

Back in the big city!

After introducing our new edition in the family to the in-laws, while in Tamworth, we ventured with the tribe to Port MacQuarie to recharge the batteries. Lots of sun, surf and around the pool relaxation was just what was required by all. Now we've all settled back into our nest in the sky above Melbourne town and it's time for this little duck to get stuck into some creative work!
